Drop unneeded workaround

This apparently is fixed with the new ROOT and it actually breaks
with the latest system clang on macOS.

The workaround seems to be from 2019 / 2020, so if we can get rid of it, gladly. I don't see any problem, and the CI should catch failures, in case something goes wrong. And for now it is failing...
